What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Right now, you are living the life and taking the path that you think you are supposed to follow. Start choosing the life that you want, because only you know what is best for you. The path is not easy, but fortunately there will be others to help you along the way and the journey itself is the most beautiful part. Down the road, you will start to live by this mantra: Go Places – Meet People – Love Plants. Everything in your life can be tied back to these simple ideas, so they come in handy as a compass in your journey through life.
Marcus’ AFNR Journey
Marcus is a Product Development Manager at PanAmerican Seed at Ball Horticultural Company. He works in cooperation with their plant breeders to bring new ornamental annual and perennial plant varieties to market. Marcus has a Master’s Degree from Iowa State University in Horticultural Science.
What does a Product Development Manager do?
Researching, assessing, and coordinating the development of new plant varieties in close collaborating with our plant breeding, seed production, operations, sales, and marketing teams. A Bachelor’s degree is required.
